Autre événement déterminant : le déploiement de notre réseau mobile
5G. Déjà pionnière de cette technologie à Maurice et à Rodrigues, cette
nouvelle étape marque un tournant pour notre entreprise, pour nos
plus d’un million de clients mobiles ainsi que pour l’ensemble du pays.
Car cette nouvelle technologie est celle du futur. Avec la 5G, nous
franchissons un nouveau cap en matière de connectivité (vitesse de
téléchargement ultra-rapide, une très faible latence et une connectivité
fluide), permettant des avancées technologiques telles que la réalité
augmentée et virtuelle, l’Internet des objets (IoT), la télémédecine
et bien plus encore. Nos investissements dans notre réseau 5G ont
été conséquents afin de mettre en place la meilleure couverture et
la meilleure qualité de service possible. D’ailleurs d’ici 2025 notre
couverture sera de 90%.
Par ailleurs, afin de permettre une meilleure expérience et d’augmenter
le taux de pénétration de la 5G parmi nos clients, nous proposons des
smartphones 4G/5G à des prix réduits.

DStv Stream lucky draw winners for Euro 2024
share their experience at the semi-finals
Neeshaye and Atish Tullo, DStv Stream lucky draw winners,
enjoyed a trip to Germany to watch the Euro 2024 semi-
final
between
Spain
and
France.
Both
brothers
travelled
for the very first time in their life for 7 days in Munich.
Fervent supporters of Spain, they were thrilled to witness the team
defeat France. The intensity of the match, coupled with enthusiastic
cheers from supporters from all around the world, was incredible.
Here are some photos that captured the highlights of their
unforgettable journey. Both brothers are grateful to Mauritius
Telecom for this trip.

We are proud of our athletes
who are representing Mauritius
The Olympic Games is held in France from 26 July to 11 August 2024.
Considered as the World’s foremost sports event, athletes from 206
countries will compete in 329 events in 32 disciplines that include
athletics, badminton, surfing, etc. This year marks the debut of a
new competition: breaking, a discipline based on urban dance.

Ready for his second Olympic Games, Rémi is aware
of the tough competition that lies ahead. His focus is
on securing victory on his first match.
Aurelie’s target is to ride all the obstacles on the
cross country Olympic (XCO) course. She hopes
that her performance will inspire more women to
choose this discipline.
Already in Marseille to complete her preparations,
Julie’s goal is to secure a place among the top 10
finalists.

This year, we have 13 athletes representing our country. They all
expressed their gratitude to their fans and supporters. Each athlete
hopes to make Mauritius proud.

He is now focusing on finetuning his technique and
he prepared for the 100m freestyle competition.
Ovesh’s goal is to beat his personal best time and
use this experience as a learning opportunity.
Ranked as the 2nd best player in Africa, Julien is
aware that the competition will be tougher this
time. He intends to give a much better performance
than he did during the Tokyo Olympic Games.
One of the top 10 triathlon athletes in Africa, Laurent’s dreamed of
qualifying for the Olympic Games for a very long time. His aim is to
give his best performance during the competition.
In 2022, he became the first Mauritian athlete to run under 20 seconds
for the 200m final race at the France Espoirs Championships.
The swimmer is completing her final intensive
training in preparation for the games. Anishta’s
aim, as she recognises the high level of competition
at this stage, is to maintain her personal best time.

Men’s Singles: Second Place
For Jean, qualifying for Paris 2024 is a dream come true as he will
finally represent Mauritius at the Olympic Games. He hopes to win a

The UEFA Europa League LIVE as

The qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League is on. The tournament,
now in its 54th edition, has introduced a new format where 36 European
teams will fight for the Europa League trophy. The winning team will
qualify automatically for the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League league
phase that replaces the group stage.

Stadium, Ohio. The main event of this action-packed event
